• We are expecting  a litter of Lucy  x  Moon late this summer. Currently taking deposits!

 

2022

• September - Moon wins day one of the Guthrie Co. Fair CDT over 32 open dogs!
• August - Moon wins the first go round of the Nebraska State Fair CDT over 38 dogs from 6 states

 

2021

• June- Meg wins the Tingley CDT over a field of 45 dogs from the US and Canada
• July- Meg wins the Franklin Co Fair SDT
• August- Moon wns the Missouri State Fair SDT
• December- Early this month our young prospect, Maggie Moo, gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies.  These pups are sired via A.I. by our great trial dog “Trim” who we sold to Judy Mault of Idaho.  More information is located under the “Dogs/Dogs for sale” tab.

 

2020

• February - It is with extreme sadness that we report that we lost Roy in a working accident in early Feb of this year.  He died doing what he loved to do and he was very, very good at it.  Rest in peace Roy.
• “Covid pretty well shut down the rest of the 2020 trial season.”

 

 

 

2019

• March - Meg finished her herding championship at Purina Farms with a High in Trial and a Reserve High in Trial on cattle.
• July - Meg wins the Adair County Fair cattle trial against 36 other dogs from several states!
• August - Roy wins the Missouri State Fair sheep trial in a double lift finals runoff!
• August - Meg wins Reserve Champion in the Iowa State Fair sheep dog trials.
• August - Roy wins the Nebraska State Fair cattle dog trial one of the biggest NCA trials of the year!
• September - Roy wins the Diamond W Classic in Madison, NE over dogs from as far away as Louisiana to Oregon!

 

2018

• July - At the BVKC trial in Wellington , CO Roy and Meg were High In Trial and Reserve High In Trial on the new ranch course.
• July - At the Clarke Co Fair and Adair Co. Fair cattle dog trials, Roy made the top five both days from classes of nearly 40 open dogs!  Way to go Roy!!
• June - John and Roy were the first team to complete the course at Bob Johnson’s USBCHA trial in Iowa.  Roy put us in the money again!!
• April - Roy and Meg win alternate days at the Texas Sheep Dog Association trials in Helotes, TX.

 

2017

• October - John and Roy win the second round of the USBCHA National Cattle Finals.
• July - Meg wins the Clarke Co. Fair Cattle Dog Trial!  With over 30 Open dogs entered Meg turns up the heat and brings home the money, with a super fast and super smooth run!
• April - John and Meg place second at the Duckhead Cattle Dog Trial in Oklahoma.  Having to run after a torrential rain made it necessary for Meg to complete a river crossings on her outrun and another on the way back with her cattle.  What a great challenge and Meg excelled!!

 

2016

• February - John and Lee take 1st in the morning Open Sheep trial at the San Antonio Stock Show!
• February - John and Roy take 1st in the afternoon Open Sheep trial at the San Antonio Stock Show!
• January - John and Roy are the Open Sheep Grand Champions at the National Western Stock Show!! Roy has won a buckle at NWSS 3 of the last 4 years!

 

2015

• August - John and Roy traveled out to the Seattle, WA area where John hosted a three day clinic and then competed in a three day trial following the clinic. John and Roy had a great weekend of trialing at Pack Leader Farms in Gig Harbor, WA. Great facility and truly great people! Roy accumulated 6 first placements, 2 High In Trials and 2 Reserve High In Trials in three days of competition on sheep, cattle, and ducks! What a versatile worker!

• May - John and Lee take 6th in the USBCHA National Cattle Dog Finals Double Lift Finals.

• January - Meg wins the overall in Pro-Novice at the Chance Ridge CDTs!
• January - Roy is the 2015 National Western Stock Show Open Sheep GRAND CHAMPION!!! Roy took 7th in National Western Stock Show Cattle Finals as well.
• January - Holman's Meg is the 2015 National Western Stock Show Intermediate Sheep GRAND CHAMPION!! What a great day and a great young dog.

 

2014

• October - John, Lee and Roy win the brace cattle competition at the Mississippi State Fair!! This is their first brace competition.
• September - John and Lee are the Open Sheep Champions at the Oklahoma State Fair!
• September - John and Roy are the reserve Open Sheep Champions at the Oklahoma State Fair!
• September - John and Meg took 1st in the Nursery Cattle competition at the Oklahoma State Fair (Meg's first time in Nursery)
• September - Lee had a perfect score the first day of the Hometown Travis Crop Cattle Dog Trial over a large class of open dogs!

• May - After 4 days of grueling competition, John and Lee are crowned the 2014 USBCHA National Cattle Dog Champions!!!
• May - John and Roy take 3rd in the Nursery Finals and 12th in the Open Finals!!

• April - John and Lee win the Open Class at the Duckhead Ranch Cattle Trial!

 

2013

• May - John and Roy take 4th in the USBCHA National Cattledog Nursery Finals!!
• March - Roy won the Nursery Cattle at the Shepherd’s Crook Trial in St. Louis, MO!
• January - John and Roy are Grand Champions in Intermediate Sheep at the NWSS, just a few days after Roy’s 2nd Birthday!

 

2012

• November - At the Hometown Travis Crop Cattledog Trial, Lee won the Open Division and Roy was second in the Nursery!!
• September - Roy is the Open Ranch Sheep Champion at the Oklahoma State Fair! Lee does his share and wins 1st in one of the sheep trials at the OK State Fair as well.
• August - Lee is the Open Cattle Champion at the Iowa State Fair!!! Lee also takes 5th in open sheep and Roy takes 3rd in ranch cattle at the Iowa State Fair.
• January - John and Lee are Reserve Champions at the National Western Stock Show Cattle Competition!

 

2011

• August - Lee makes an awesome run and wins the Midwest Regional Finals at the Nebraska State Fair!!!
• May - John and Lee place 10th at the USBCHA Cattle Finals in a field of 50 dogs from all over North America.

 

2010

• August - John and Lee win the Nebraska State Fair cattle trial over a field of 25 dogs from 6 states!!
• January - John and Mick put down an awesome run to win the National Western Stock Show Cattle Dog Trial in Denver! Lee did his share by placing third in the Intermediate Sheep class.

 

2009

• August - Lee won a very competitive Nebraska State Fair Pro Novice Cattle class!
• August - Lee wins the Pro Novice cattle class at the Iowa State Fair, and Mick nearly wins the Open cattle and comes in second!
• August - Lee wins the Open ranch cattle class buckle in Torrington, WY!!
• February - Winter Classic CDT in Torrington, WY! Lee had a great weekend wining the overall Pro Novice Title with a 3rd and a 1st place!!

 

2008

• August - John and Mick put down a super smooth, fast run to win the Nebraska State Fair CDT!!! They finished in 2 min 32 sec; over 40 seconds ahead of the competition!
• February - At the February “Winter Classic” in Torrington, WY Mick put down the best run of the weekend with a perfect course and a time of 3:32 to far out distance the competition and bring home a the win! Way to go Mick!!

 

2007

• August - John and Mick brought home the Championship honors in both Open Sheep and Open Cattle at the Iowa State Fair!!
