John and Mick put down an awesome run to win the Natioal
Western Stock Show Cattle Dog Trial in Denver! Lee did his share by
placing third in the Intermediate Sheep class.
Sept/Oct/Nov 2009
Lee brought home 5 HIT and a RHIT at AKC competitions this fall working
sheep and ducks!! What a wonderful, versatile dog!!
August 2009
- Lee won a very competitive Nebraska State Fair Pro Novice Cattle
class!
- Lee comes in second in a field trial open ranch class in Harrisburg,
NE.
- Wow, Lee wins the Pro Novice cattle class at the Iowa State Fair,
and Mick nearly wins the Open cattle and comes in second! Congratulations
Lee and Mick!!!
- Aug 6 Lee wins the Open ranch cattle class buckle in Torrington,
WY!! Lee's first buckle!

Lee won the Pro Novice and Horseback class at the Dundy
Co. Fair on July 31st!! Keep it up Lee!!!!
June 2009
John and two of his students attended the Great Plains
Bearded Collie trial in Springfield, NE where Jack Doty and Heavos earned
their Pre Trial title with two beautiful runs and Amy Novak finished
an Intermediate Sheep title on Honey Belle and a Started Sheep title
on Molly. Congratulations Jack and Amy!!! John and Lee did pretty good
as well, Lee finished his Advanced title and brought home a HIT and
a RHIT! Lee wins the Great Western Bank SDT in Tingley, IA!! Way to
go Lee!!

Winter Classic CDT in Torrington, WY! Lee had a great
weekend wining the overall Pro Novice Title with a 3rd and a 1st place!!
October 2008
On October 11th Lee went up against 27 Pro Novice dogs at the SE Iowa
cattle dog trials and came away with a win!! He is really becoming quite
a dog!!"

It is with a very heavy heart that we report that fellow
handler Marge Danielson passed away on her way home from a trial on
September 21, 2009. Marge was a student of mine, ran two dogs she
purchased from us and was the breeder of my dog MarDan's Lee; more
importantly, she was a very good friend! She will be dearly missed
by her family and all her friends.
August 2008
Mick and John put down a super smooth, fast run to win the Nabraska
State Fair CDT. finishing in 2 min 32 sec over 40 seconds ahead of the
competition.

LEE WINS HIS FIRST PRO NOVICE EVENT!! In Greenield, IA 13 month old
Lee won the Pro Novice class over a field of 12 dogs!! Way to go Lee
and John!

MEG WINS IN TINGLEY!! In a class of 32 Pro Novice dogs Meg put down
an awesome run to bring home the win for her owner Karen Battreall and
John!!

Triple HITs in Wichita!! We had a great weekend of trialing in Wichita
on April 5th and 6th! There were three trials and Mick, Jesse, and 10
month old Lee each brought home a HIT!!
February 2008
At the February "Winter Classic" in Torrington, WY Mick put
down the best run of the weekend with a perfect course and a time of
3:32 to far out distance the competition and bring home a the win! Way
to go Mick!!
September 2007
Congratulations Marge Danielson with Bryn and Bette!! Marge and Bette
finished their AHBA HTCH and ASCA WTCH this past summer. Bette is now
a triple champion!!! Marge and Bryn finished Bryn's Intermediate sheep
and duck titles and in Started B course they finished Bryn's title with
three HITs the last one being a perfect score of 100!!! Way to go Marge
and Bryn. We are proud to say that both Bette and Bryn are "dog4ewe"
Border Collies!

Karen Battreall can be proud of Mick's accomplishments
at the Iowa State Fair. Mick and John brought home the Championship
honors in both Open Sheep and Open Cattle!!
